2022 QATAR WORLD CUP: See incredible last 16 fixture after ‘greatest’ World Cup group stage

The 2022 World Cup group stage, largely considered to be the best ever, is officially over and the last 16 line-up looks incredible.

The group stage round threw up some massive upsets and results, with Saudi Arabia stunning Argentina, Cameroon beating Brazil and Japan topping their group ahead of Spain and Germany, who’re no longer in the World Cup.

Australia pipped Tunisia and Denmark to second place in Group D, sparking wild scenes down under.

Morocco also made it to the next round, topping Group F ahead of 2018 World Cup finalists Croatia.

But there’s also no Belgium, Denmark and Uruguay in the last 16, but this year’s tournament has thrown up some tasty ties in the next round.

The knockout stage begins on Saturday as the Netherlands face USA while Argentina take on Australia.

France face Poland and England meet Senegal on Sunday.

Japan, who beat Spain and Germany in the group stage, clash with Croatia, as Brazil take on South Korea on Monday.

Morocco, the first African team to win their group since Nigeria in 1998, face Spain while Portugal meet Switzerland on Tuesday.

World Cup last 16 line-up:

Netherlands vs. USA

Argentina vs. Australia

France vs. Poland

England vs. Senegal

Japan vs. Croatia

Brazil vs. South Korea

Morocco vs. Spain

Portugal vs. Switzerland

The next four days will set up the quarter-final clashes of this year’s World Cup.
