ADC, APN governorship candidates pledge support for APC in Jigawa

The gubernatorial candidates of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and that of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) alongside thousands of their supporters have pledged their loyalty and support to the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Jigawa State.

Habibu Nuhu Kila, the special adviser on media and public relations to the governor of Jigawa State, revealed this in a press release Tuesday afternoon.

According to him, “in their separate speech, the Chairman of the APM in Jigawa State, Alhaji Shehu Ibrahim said all the candidates of various offices of the party from Governorship to State Assembly have resolved to support the candidates of All progressives Congress during the forthcoming general election.”

He said the decision was taken after a meeting with the state and local governments’ executives of the party.

Kila quoted Alhaji Ibrahim to have said that “the party also resolved to support APC candidates considering the leadership qualities of Governor Badaru Abubakar for continuity and the completion of inherited projects from the previous administration.

He further stated that already supporters of the party have been directed to vote for the APC candidates in all elective positions.

Kila said Dr. Sani Gumel of the ADC also assured that “they have also resolved to join hands with progressive development under the leadership of the APC and offered their loyalty and support to the party.

He said Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar receivied them at Government House Dutse, and assured them that they will be accorded with all the rights and privileges enjoyed by all members of the APC.
