APC Suspends Former PA to Buhari Sha’ban Sharada for Critcising Ganduje
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano Municipal local government area of Kano State has suspended a House of Representatives member, a former personal assistant to President Muhammad Buhari, Sha’aban Ibrahim Sharada.
The party said he was suspended for a year after a seven-man disciplinary committee set up to investigate some allegations against him said it found him guilty.
The announcement of the suspension followed an emergency meeting by the Sharada Ward leadership of the APC in Kano on Wednesday.
The meeting called after the party allegedly received complaints of members.
The announcement of his suspension for one year from the party was contained in a press statement signed by the Sharada Ward APC Chairman Mr. Abdullahi Umar, which also warned Sha’ban from identifying himself with the APC at Sharada Ward.
“Hon. Sha’aban Ibrahim Sharada has been found guilty of the charges against him for the assassinating the character of His Excellency the Governor of Kano as well as the respective party executive from the ward, Local Government and State Level.”
The committee recommended that he “he will not interfere in all party affairs and activities at all levels.”
Sharada, who represents Kano Municipal in the House of Representative, is known to be critical of Kano State governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
