Did Kevin De Bruyne dive to win Manchester City’s penalty against Fulham?

Kevin De Bruyne has been accused of diving in the box to win a stoppage-time penalty for Manchester City, which ultimately won the game.

Was it a dive?
The penalty was ultimately given and on his return, Premier League top scorer Erling Haaland dispatched the penalty past Bernd Leno, who got a hand to the strike.
He had only been on the pitch for 25 minutes prior, but the goal was Haaland’s 18th league goal of the season, putting him 8 clear of nearest challenger Harry Kane.
The game started well for City, who scored early on after a lovely through ball from Ilkay Gundogan was smashed in off the crossbar by young striker Julian Alvarez.
10 minutes later, a long ball was won in the air by Fulham, who looked to be through on goal with Harry Wilson before Joao Cancelo clattered into him in the box as the last man, and was sent off.
Ex-Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira put away the penalty to draw Fulham level, and Man City were left to play the remaining 65 minutes with 10 men.

Erling Haaland came on with 25 minutes to go though, and had a goal disallowed for offside shortly after coming on. He ultimately made the difference late on though.

The 95th minute winner was enough to see City past Fulham and for them to regain top spot over Arsenal.

The penalty decision has made football fans livid, as many have been voicing their opinions on social media:

The challenge is a soft one, but whether it is a penalty or not is up for debate.

Manchester City have continued their good run of form with another win, making it 4 wins from the last 5 games as their title push surges on.

Nearest title challengers Arsenal play Chelsea tomorrow in a London derby that could be massive in deciding who will be top of the league come the World Cup break.
But with Kevin De Bruyne in world class form and Erling Haaland back from injury already, who’s going to stop City from winning it all?
