INEC Results Put Obaseki Ahead in 11 Local Govts
Election results from Saturday’s polls have continued to trickle in as counting continued without hindrance.
Nigerian Sketch learnt that out of the 14 governorship candidates that joined the election, only two are turning in significant result. Either the incumbent governor, Godwin Obaseki of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), or Osagie Ize-Iyamu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) will undoubtedly win the election.
Results from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) indicated that 1.72 million people are eligible to vote in the election, while 483,796 eligible voters will not participate in the poll for failure to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).
