GANDUJE SUSPENSION: Third APC Ganduje ward ‘executives’ demands arrest, prosecution of ‘fake’ leaders

GANDUJE SUSPENSION: Third APC Ganduje ward ‘executives’ demands arrest, prosecution of ‘fake’ leaders

A third group claiming to be the ‘authentic’ executives of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ganduje Ward has come out to call for the arrest and prosecution of an earlier group also claiming to be the executives.

In a statement issued on Monday, the group led by Ahmed Muhammed Ganduje and Usaini Jibrin referred to the earlier groups as “a bunch of non-APC members”.

This call for arrest and prosecution came after a second group on Sunday claimed to have suspended the national chairman of APC, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.

Recall that a first group had last week purportedly suspended Ganduje in a manner that had generated so much confusion.

Ganduje had so far been supposedly doubly suspended by different two different ‘executives’.

A statement jointly signed by Ahmed Muhammed Ganduje and Usaini Jibrin on Monday in Kano urged the national body of the party and security agencies to facilitate the arrest and persecution of the earlier groups “for impersonation and culculatingly attempting to cause dissaffection in the party.”

The statement fingered the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) government in Kano State as the culprit in what it called ‘failed attempt to suspend Ganduje’, claiming that the state government masterminded “yet another bunch of non-APC members” to suspend the APC national chairman.

Claiming to be the authentic executive members of the ward, they said no new election was conducted by the state or national body of the APC to oust them.

“To the best of our knowledge, as executive members of Ganduje ward of the APC, there was no new election of new leadership of our party. We remain the same executives of the ward.”

They said the group sponsored by Kano State government failed to their homework well, as used a fake or uncertified letter headed paper on which they drew a list of non-existing party executives.

“And to worsen their situation, leader of the group who announced the purported suspension is an NNPP member who contested but lost the councillorship election in Ganduje ward.

“We, therefore, call on our party members to disregard such propaganda aimed at causing instability the party,” the executives added.
