Gunmen Gunned Down Acting Emir of Kontagora
The son of the Emir of Kontagora who has been acting as the emir since his father fell sick, Alhaji Bashar Saidu Namaska, has been killed by gunmen who attacked the emir’s farm on Thursday.
The acting emir who was also the Sardauna of Kontagora was killed along with his driver and three other workers in the farm in Masuga village on Thursday.
The incident occurred a few kilometres from Kontagora where the deceased managed the farm and livestock as family business.
According to sources, the acting emir son was rushed to the Kontagora General Hospital where he was confirmed dead.
The late son was said to be on the farm along Zuru road in the LGA where he was working with other people when the gunmen attacked, killed them and stole a number of cows.
Eyewitnesses said the gunmen also operated on private vehicles along the road, collected phones, money and other valuables from the people travelling.
While the incident has not been officially announced, sources have confirmed that it occurred.
