Jigawa governor-elect says victory was will of God, as Gov Badaru expresses joy
Jigawa State governor elect, Malam Umar Namadi, has described his election as the will of God, and expressed his appreciation to the Almighty and people of the state for their resilience in their commitments, support and prayers for his victory at the gubernatorial election.
The special adviser to the state governor on media and public relations, Habibu Nuhu Kila, said in a press statement issued Monday morning that Namadi spoke shortly after he was declared as the winner of the Jigawa State governorship election under the All Progressive Congress (APC).
He said he was elected not because he is better than anyone but because it was the will of God who gives power to anyone He so wishes.
“The Governor elect called on the people of the state to always remain prayerful and commitment in the development of the state as he promised to continue with legacies of his predecessor Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar of prudence and good Governance.
”Governor Muhammad Badaru who rejoiced with Governor elect and the people of the state says he was fulfilled by the choice of Malam Umar Namadi as his Successor whom he has confidence in him and also described him as a loyal, hardworking and prudent in whatever he does”, Kila wrote in the statement.

In a similar development, Jigawa State governor, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, has expressed felicitated with his deputy, Mallam Umar Namadi, for winning the just-concluded gubernatorial election in the state.
This was contained in a press statement issued by the senior special assistant (print media) to the governor, Ahmad Muhammad Danyaro, Monday morning.
He said the victory was a way of “affirming the people’s trust in his leadership abilities.
“Indeed, the victory of the Governor-Elect at the polls is a clear testimony to the people’s confidence in his leadership style, hard work, and commitment to the development of Jigawa State. The Governor believes that his Deputy’s victory is a significant milestone in the collective efforts to continue the transformation of Jigawa State into an economic powerhouse in Nigeria.
The governor urged the governor-elect to remain focused and committed to the service of the people of Jigawa State, promising his full support and cooperation in the transition process and beyond. He also called on all stakeholders and citizens of Jigawa State (including members opposition parties) to unite and support the Governor-elect in the daunting task of building a more prosperous and peaceful State for all.
He expressed his gratitude to the people of Jigawa State for their unwavering support, trust, and confidence in his administration for eight years, and assured them of his commitment to continue working tirelessly for the progress and development of the state.
