Kano film-maker Aminu Bono dies, as actress Aisha Humaira pledges to settle his debts
Kannywood film director, Aminu Suraj Bono, collapsed Monday evening while at work, and was rushed to the hospital where doctors pronounced him dead.
He was however buried according to Muslim rites on Tuesday.
Confirming his death, actor Ali Nuhu in an Instagram post Monday night, wrote: “May God have mercy on Aminu S Bono and make paradise your final abode.”
Also, the chairman of Kano State Film Censorship, actor Abba El-Mustapha, wrote: “We pray to God to bless him and forgive him his mistakes, and make Paradise his destiny. If ours comes, God will make us full of goodness and faith.”
Bono has directed many films, such as “Mai Numfashi” (2017),
“Bazura Sudan” (2018), and “So Haduwar Jini” (2019)”.
Who is Aminu S. Bono?
Aminu S. Bono was born on 15 June 1982. He was 41 years old when he passed away. He was born in Kano, Nigeria.
Bono was an actor and a director in the Hausa film industry.
He completed his schooling from Government Secondary School and read Mass Communication at Bayero University, Kano.
He began his career as an assistant director for some Kannywood movies such as Sarauniya, Kanwar Dubarudu, and Halimatus Sadiya”.
He was nominated for many awards such as ” Best Director at the 2016 Kannywood Awards and Arewa Creative Industry Awards”.
Aisha Humaira pledges to settle his debts
Actress Aisha Humaira has pledged to settle all debts that the deceased was not able to settle before his death.
VOA quoted the actress to have said “I am calling on anyone who had any monetary transaction with him, and has not been settled to come forward. By Allah’s grace, I will settle all his debts if they are not beyond my capability.”
She said she would facilitatethe refund of the deabt if she could not personally shoulder it.
According to her, she would have preferred to settle all his debt even before he was buried.
