Kano governor announces appointment of new MDs, SAs
Kano State governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has approved the appointment of six special advisers and four managing directors for four governmental agencies.
A statement issued by the governor’s acting chief press secretary, Hisham Habib, revealed this Tuesday morning.
According to the statement, the appointees are as:
1 Engineer Sulaiman Sani as Special Adviser, Irrigation and Dams
2 Abdullahi Shuaibu as Special Adviser, Pension Fund Trustees
3 Yusuf Imam Shuaibu as Special Adviser, Youth and Sports
4 Sadiya Abdu Bichi as Special Adviser, Women, Children and Disabled
5 Dr Nura Jafar Shanono as Special Adviser, Water Resources
6 Sanusi Sirajo Kwankwaso as Special Adviser, Political Affairs
The statement further said the governor approved the appointment of Managing Directors as follows:
- Engineer Faisal Mahmud Kumbotso, MD KAROTA
- Alhaji Abdullahi Rabiu, MD Housing Corporation
- Alhaji Ahmadu Haruna Danzago, MD REMASAB
- Hon Hisham Habib, MD Radio Kano
The statement said all appointments are with immediate effect.
The governor had earlier appointed memebers of his cabinet who were screened and approved by the state House of Assembly before been sworninto office.
