Kano Pillars Management Gets Confused, Suspends Search for New Coach
For no obvious reason, Kano Pillars football club, which was reported on Sunday to have invited a number of coaches to an interview for the position of technical adviser, have suspended the exercise.
The club’s spokesman, Rilwanu Malikawa, told Pyramid Sports News that the exercise has been suspended but failed to give reasons for the decision.
He was quoted to have said “I can confirm to you that the exercise has been put on hold. A new outline for the interview will be made public.”
Earlier reports said more that 20 interested coaches submitted their application for the job, according to Malikawa.
The club was said to have short-listed six coaches that would attend interview for the job of technical adviser, and they are expected to arrive Kano on Tuesday 31st.
They are scheduled to appear before the technical committee of the club for the interview on Wednesday 1st September 2021 by 10am.
The club claimed that all necessary arrangements for their accommodation have been made.
Malikawa revealed that the short-listed coaches included Busari Hakeem Ishola, Henry Makinwa, Salisu Yusuf (D-Balck), Erol Akay, Emannuel Amunike and Usman Shareef Abdullah.
He said the results of the interview would be released immediately by the management of the club.
All that have been thrown to the wind, and the club’s management, in a rather irresponsible manner, refused to explain why it must dash the hope of its fans.
