MULAN president hails Nigeria Police over rescue of Sokoto lawyer from kidnappers 

President of the Muslim Lawyers Association (MULAN), Saeed Muhammad Tudun Wada, on Wednesday expressed satisfaction with the roles of Nigeria’s security operatives in the rescue of a lawyer, Ruqayyat Mustafa, from the den of kidnappers.

Reports said three persons suspected of giving information to kidnappers who kidnapped the lawyer were arrested by the Sokoto State Command of the Nigeria Police Force.

Rukayyat, a female lawyer, was abducted in Bado area of Sokoto.

ASP Ahmed Rufai, the spokesperson of the Command, said “the incident happened in the early hours of Sunday.
The bandits stormed her house and kidnapped her along with her younger brother.

“After they trekked to a vehicle that was parked far away from her residence, they then told the young man to go back or they would shoot him.

“The three persons we arrested are suspected to be the ones giving information to the bandits and they are already in our custody.

Hopefully, we will get to the root of the matter in a short period and get her rescued”

The MULAN honcho said is a statement That  “I am happy to inform you all that Barr. Rukkayah has been rescued by the Security Agencies. Alhamdulillah not a penny was paid to her abductors. Thanks for your support and prayers.”

He also called on all Nigerians to give their supports to security agencies by giving them the “required information and cooperation at all times, as this will help them in carrying out their duties better.”
