Paul Pogba denies hiring witch doctor to place curse on Kylian Mbappe
France international, Paul Pogba is under intense pressure at the moment, as his relatives, especially his older brother Mathias, have continued to subject him to ridicule on the social media.
Mathias took to the social media in a video in which he alleged that the Juventus midfielder was involved in dark spiritual activities to cause harm to his France teammate, Kylian Mbappe.
Pogba had denied the allegations, saying his relatives are only interested in blackmailing his into submitting to their extortion attempts.
The entire story has gripped France since Pogba’s older brother, Mathias took to social media with a series of videos to warn of extraordinary revelations about Paul that could affect his career.
Paul has sparked a police investigation in both France and Italy into attempted extortion carried out by relatives, including Mathias.
France Info reported on Sunday that during his second hearing with police in France, Pogba assures he did not hire a ‘witch doctor’ to place a curse on Mbappé.
He insists the person in question was merely a town elder, who was contacted as part of an attempt to bring charitable funds to children in Africa.
Pogba also defended Mathias, maintaining his brother is acting ‘under the influence’ of others in the extortion case. He showed police a text message from Mattias just after the completed transfer to Juventus, which read: “You will think of us now that you have received a signing on bonus”.
It is reported that he has changed his phone number twice since the harassment started, which included unknown persons breaking into their mother’s house in July.
