Police Storm Kidnappers’ Hideout, Arrest 5 Suspects in Kano

The Kano command of the Nigerian Police Force said on Friday it raided a house in the state, allegedly rented by kidnappers, and arrested five suspects in the process.

Weapons were also recovered on the premises, according to sources who spoke to Nigerian Sketch.

Police spokesman in Kano State, Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, confirmed that the incident occurred at a place called Jaba in Ungoggo local government area, following intelligence report, and he added that such raids are ongoing operations.

Sources revealed that four persons, including a female, were arrested during the raid.

Information has it that the kidnappers abducted two people from Zamfara state and kept them in the house the rented at Jaba, where the police later arrested them traced to their hideout by the police after they had abducted.
