PSG accept Al Hilal’s €300 million bid for Kylian Mbappe
Paris Saint-Germain have accepted Al Hilal’s record €300 million (£260m) bid to sign Kylian Mbappe this summer, according to reports.
On Monday, Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal submitted a world record bid to sign the 24-year-old superstar which has since been accepted.
Sky Sports confirmed the news, claiming that the Ligue 1 giants have given Al Hilal “permission to speak to Mbappe”.
However, Sky Sportsreporter Kaveh Solhekol has since revealed that there has been no indication that Mbappe is keen to go to the Middle East.
“He feels that his future is Europe and he feels his future is Real Madrid”, Solhekol told Sky’s Transfer Show. “But I would never say never.”
Over the last few weeks, there have been reports that Mbappe will not sign a new deal at Paris Saint Germain and is hoping to move to Real Madrid on a free transfer next summer.
However, PSG are believed to be unwilling to let Mbappe leave for free and therefore have reportedly put him up for sale ahead of the 23/24 season.
Mbappe’s possible Al Hilal salary
Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano tweeted: “Al Hilal have submitted formal bid to Paris Saint-Germain in order to open talks for Kylian Mbappé. Understand it’s worth €300m — record fee.
“No talks on player side. PSG remain convinced that Mbappé already agreed terms with Real Madrid with contract ready.”
CBS journalist James Benge has claimed that Al Hilal are prepared to offer Mbappe a whopping one-year deal worth €700 million, which roughly equates to £604 million.
If Mbappe accepts to join Al Hilal, he has the option to join Madrid for free when his one-year deal expires at the end of the 23/24 season.
