After giving away a foul, the 36-year-old remonstrated with the match referee and got in his face in a fiery moment.

The official wasted no time in brandishing the red card following Ramos’ angry reaction.

Incredibly, it’s the 28th red card of his storied career.

Marco Verratti was shown a yellow card for his protestations.

Needless to say, Ramos’ red card sent social media wild.

One Twitter user joked: “Football Heritage.”Sergio Ramos

A second wrote: “Sergio Ramos gets a red card. Imagine my shock.”

A third added: “Imagine getting sent off 28 times in your career!”

Ramos’ red card was the main talking point of the Ligue 1 meeting as Reims and PSG played out a goalless draw.

But it wasn’t just Ramos who lost his cool as Neymar and Kylian Mbappe picked up cautions late on.
