Shekarau reveals Atiku’s five top agendas, asks Nigerians to judge Buhari on his three campaign pledges
President Muhammadu Buhari’s government success or otherwise in government should be glimpsed from his three cardinal campaign promises.
Former Kano State governor, Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau, said this Tuesday night as he interacted with the media on the state of affairs in Nigerian politics.
He said Nigerians should judge if Buhari has succeeded in the areas of boosting Nigeria’s economy, providing adequate security and curbing corruption.
Shekarau implored Nigerians to give the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP’s) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar a chance to become the country’s president on Saturday, adding that Atiku has presented the “five items of syllabus” by which he would be judged after his first four years in office.
According to Shekarau, the unity of Nigeria is top in Atiku’s agenda, implying that whatever fractions that have been created by the past successive governments would be mended for good.
He added that adequate security is another one of Atiku’s priority, while the provision of quality education and the creation of conducive atmosphere for economic prosperity are also parts of his scheme.
The former minister hinted that Atiku is poised to give the Nigerians government a new structural outlook, especially through devolution of powers.
Shekarau, a serving Senator representing Kano Central Senatorial District, urged Nigerians to trust Atiku with their mandates and wait to see how he would perform on the above five major priorities.
