SHOCKING! Rarara slams Buhari, says former president damaged Nigeria
In an unbelievable manner, a Hausa political singer, Dauda Kahutu (Rarara) has hit at former Nigerian president, Muhammadu Buhari, saying he “crippled every sector of the country” before leaving office.
To express her shock, Fatima Abubakar, a Maiduguri-born admirer of Buhari, told Nigerian Sketch “it wasn’t possible. It could not have been the Rarara I know. When confronted with evidence of the musician’s criticism of Buhari, she screamed “No! Wallahi, he was Rarara must have been striken by some manipulative magical powers. He was not in his right senses, I can assure you. Rarara can not criticise Buhari when in his right senses.”
Rarara was known for his support and musical endorsements of the Buhari administration when Buhari was still president. His venomous lyrics aimed unsettling innuendos at Buhari’s political opponents.
But, he has now expressed deep regret for his alliance with Buhari.
“I regret supporting Buhari because I thought that he would bring reforms to Nigeria, but we didn’t see that up to the end of his tenure. Buhari’s administration crippled all agencies of government, they need to be revitalized,” he said in a viral video.
He also said the 100 days of Tinubu’s administration was better than the eight years of Buhari’s administration.
Citing insecurity on the Kano-Abuja road as an instance, Rarara said, “For about seven years when Buhari was president, the road has been terrible, but since Tinubu came on board, the road has become secured.
“For over three months now, the road has been very secure. A lot was done to curtail the insecurity, but it was not just publicised.”
He said, “Buhari made sure he destroyed this country before leaving office. He destroyed everything. And I want them to let Nigerians know.”
Rarara has also already given indications that he may soon fall out with Tinubu’s government, as he lamented that the president was appointing people who are his (Tinubu’s) enemies into various positions in his government.
Rarara named former Katsina and Kano State governors, Aminu Masari and Abdullahi Ganduje as the only people who contributed as much as he (Rarara) did to the success of Tinubu’s presidential ambition in North Nigeria.
Political attacks
Recall that suspected hoodlums set the residence of ace political singer on fire in Kano less than an hour after the declaration of the Kano state governorship election winner earlier in the year. (READ THE REPORT HERE)
Reports said thugs invaded the house, along Zoo Road, and started destroying valuables before setting the house on fire.
