Governor Yusuf’s administration more corrupt than Ganduje’s – Former SSG

Governor Yusuf’s administration more corrupt than Ganduje’s – Former SSG

The allegations of corruption against Governor Abba Yusuf’s administration in Kano State have been a topic of discussion lately.

The former Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Abdullahi Baffa Bichi, has made some serious accusations against the current administration.

In a viral video, Dr. Bichi claimed that the current administration has committed more infractions than the previous government under former Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.

He stated that while they suspected Ganduje of corruption during his eight-year tenure, they have evidence of the current administration’s wrongdoings.

“All that we alleged Ganduje did wrong during his eight years, this government has done ten times over in just two years,” Bichi said. “We only suspected Ganduje, but for this one, we have evidence. They have committed ten times as much in less than two years.”

Bichi even hinted that the administration may not survive until the 2027 elections due to growing public discontent.

“Let’s thank God, their days are numbered. We will chase them out, they might not even reach 2027. When we started talking, they will run away. Especially me, when I start going to the radio with evidence, they will run,” he said.

Bichi threatened to expose the government’s alleged wrongdoings, stating that he has documents, voice recordings, and videos that will reveal the truth.

He accused Governor Yusuf and his political godfather, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, of being deceitful and untrustworthy leaders.

Reactions

The Kano State Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya, dismissed Bichi’s allegations as baseless, asserting that they could not be substantiated.

“Let him prove it if it’s true,” Waiya said

The situation in Kano State highlights the ongoing struggle with corruption and the need for transparency and accountability in governance.
