Nigerian Sketch was founded by seasoned journalists with requisite experience that collectively spanned decades of practice within and outside Nigeria.

1. Bala Ibrahim (Chairman), a veteran journalist, worked for the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) in Nigeria and England for 27 years before retiring as the Regional Coordinator, West Africa. He covered, among others, the many challenges of the military reforms and the controversially annulled 1993 general elections in Nigeria. He was chairman of the rested National Review Magazine.
2. Yusuf Abdulsalam (Editor-in-Chief), had a Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Mass Communication, Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Law. He has worked as as a reporter, correspondent, sports writer, sub-editor, editor and edtor-in-chief of various newspapers, magazines and online publications in Nigeria. He practices law in Nigeria, and was publicity secretary for the Kano branch of the Nigerian Bar Association as well as chairman of the branch’s bulletin and newsletter committee since 2016.
3. Khalil Faruk (Deputy Editor-in-Chief), has a Bachelors and Master’s degree in Political Science and has worked as a reporter, features editor and Deputy Editor-in-Chief respectively in a leading Nigerian daily. He has undergone trainings in journalism, photo journalism and online journalism within and outside Nigeria.
