Legal Aid Council Tasks Kano Communities on Importance of Rights

Legal Aid Council of Nigeria (LACON) has urged Kano residents to resort to the effective utilization of the instrument of the law to pursue the enforcement of their rights.
The director, international operations, LACON, Bamidele Ibikunle, during a sensitization awareness campaign held at Rimin Kebe quarters, Kano on Tuesday enjoined residents not to relent in seeking for the respect of their rights in all facets of life.
He noted that LACON has strengthened its mechanism to further provide free legal services to indigent and other vulnerable persons in the state, urging them to always approach LACON office to table their complains for its officers to facilitate their rights to access to justice.
In her remarks, Hafsat Zeenat Buhari who was attached Isa Wali Empowerment Initiative, (IWEI) cautioned parents on the essence of preserving family maintenance culture.
According to Hafsat, the anti societal values ravaging most communities in the state could be curbed through proper family maintenance, saying giving priority to family cultural approach by both parents would rid the society of domestic violence been recorded across the state.
