Nigeria’s Super Eagles have suffered another injury blow as Sadiq Umar has been ruled out of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations kicking off later today, January 13 in Cote d’Ivoire with a knee injury.
The Real Sociedad of Spain striker trained separately from the rest of the squad on Wednesday night following a knock he picked in the Super Eagles friendly against the Syli Stars of Guinea on Monday.
Reports say the forward will now make a swift return to his Spanish club, Real Sociedad for further diagnosis and treatment.
