Concerns as presidential hopeful, Tinubu, returns to London for ‘medical treatment’

Nigerians have been expressing their concerns over the health status of former Lagos State governor, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who recently declared that he wanted to vie for the office of president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Tinubu has reportedly returned to London for medical checkup barely three months after he returned from a similar trip.

His last medical trip to London lasted for months, sparking the rumours about his unstable health condition and raising the fears that he may not be fit for the task of a president.

Prominent Nigerian politicians went to London to visit him.

The trepidations that Nigerians hold about Tinubu’s health condition has been compounded by the refusal of his media and political campaign managers to give any disclosure about the health issue he is facing.

His previous medical trip was said to be due to a certain knee pain complication that required a surgery.

Some of his followers have said that his present trip has no medical connection, insisting that he went back to the United Kingdom to see his family and rest after weeks of consultations, following his declaration of intention to contest in the 2023 presidential election.

Tinubu formally confirmed that he would be running for president on January 10, 2022, shortly after meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the State House.
