Federal Court orders Kano APC ward to stay action on Ganduje’s suspension

The Federal High Court in Kano has restrained executive members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ganduje Ward, Dawaki Tofa local government area from further action on the suspension of the APC national chairman, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.

The ruling came on Wednesday after Ganduje filed an ex parte motion seeking to enforce his fundamental right to fair hearing.

Justice Abdullahi Muhammad Liman granted an interim order directing all respondents from implementing or giving effect to the suspension of Ganduje after a decision was reached during an emergency meeting of the executive members of APC, Ganduje Ward, on April 15, pending the hearing and determination of fundamental right of fair hearing filed by the APC national chairman before the court.

Ganduje’s lawyer, Jazuli Mustapha, filed the application supported by an affidavit sworn to by one Suleiman A. Suleiman.
