Nureini Jimoh receives Igbinedion University VC award after valedictory lecture
Foremost Kano-based lawyer, Nureini Jimoh SAN, was on Saturday given the Igbinedion University Vice Chancellor Award after his valedictory lecture at the graduation of the College of Law of the university.
While discussing the role of youths in democratic governance in Nigeria, the lecture, which was delivered on Saturday 20th July, 2024 in a full capacity auditorium filled with students, parents, guardians, lecturers and guest of the university, touched on the various stages of youth development before Nigeria’s colonization, during the military and democratic regimes in the country.
Jimoh x-rayed the ages of leaders in Nigeria, Africa and the globally, making a comparative analysis.

He called upon the youths to embrace moral values and exhibit puritan leadership, charging them to follow the lifestyle of the founder of the university as set out by the Late Ooni of Ife.
The high point of the event was the standing ovations given after the Lecture.
The senior advocate was also given the Student Government Award for the thought-provoking lecture.
Earlier, the guest lecturer attended the law students’ dinner preceding the event.
