New executives take charge at NBA Ungogo branch
The legal community in Kano gathered on Monday for a pivotal moment as the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Ungogo Branch, officially ushered in a new era of leadership.
In a ceremony filled with professional camaraderie and a shared commitment to the rule of law, the newly elected members of the executive council were formally sworn into office.
The atmosphere was charged with high expectations as the incoming executives took their solemn oaths, pledging to uphold the constitution of the association and champion the welfare of its members.
Leading the new charge is the newly inaugurated chairman, Salisu Abubakar, who will pilot the affairs of the branch. Supporting him in the executive engine room is Aminu Ado Bello, who takes on the mantle of vice chairman.

The administration of the branch will be driven by Danjuma Siaka, sworn in as the secretary, alongside Fareeda Abdussalam, who will serve as the assistant secretary.
To manage the branch’s financial health and resources is the new treasurer, Kamalu Hamisu.
To balance the rigorous demands of the legal profession with community engagement, Alhaji Ibrahim was inaugurated as the social secretary, while Dauda Ngada Mbursa stepped into the vital role of welfare secretary, tasked with looking after the well-being of the branch’s members.
In his opening remarks, the newly minted chairman, Salisu Abubakar, expressed deep gratitude to the members of the Ungogo branch for their trust. He emphasized that his administration would focus on enhancing professional development, strengthening the branch’s institutional standing, and fostering a collaborative environment for both young and senior lawyers in the zone.
With the oaths administered and the gavel symbolically passed, the new executive council officially begins its tenure, carrying the hopes of the Ungogo legal community for a vibrant and impactful administrative calendar.
