Kano ADC resolves internal feud, hands 2027 governorship ticket to Ibrahim Little
Ahead of the 2027 general elections, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has officially presented its governorship nomination form to a veteran politician and former gubernatorial candidate, Alhaji Ibrahim El-Amin, popularly known as Ibrahim Little.
The development marks a major step forward for the party as political chess pieces begin to align in Kano State.
Ibrahim Little received the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Governorship Nomination Form (EC-13B) from the acting chairman of the ADC in Kano State, Dr. Umar Bala Kwalwa.
The prominent politician announced the milestone on Monday via a post on his verified Facebook page.
“By the grace of Allah, I have received the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Governorship Nomination Form (EC-13B) from the Acting Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kano State, Dr. Umar Bala Kwalwa,” Little stated. “We pray to Allah to bless this milestone and make it a success.”
This move comes closely on the heels of major internal repositioning within the Kano State chapter of the ADC.
Just weeks ago, the national leadership of the party dissolved its Kano State Executive Committee and inaugurated a caretaker committee. The decisive restructuring was aimed at resolving internal disputes and stabilizing the party machinery ahead of the 2027 polls.
With internal conflicts seemingly managed, the party has made good on its earlier promise to announce its governorship direction once stability was restored.
Ibrahim Little is a household name in Kano politics. He previously flew the gubernatorial flag under the defunct All People’s Party (APP) and brings deep political networks and experience to the ADC’s 2027 ticket.
His entry into the race under the ADC umbrella is expected to significantly alter the political dynamics in Kano State as parties gear up for the upcoming general elections.
